What are the Passport America rules?
1. To visit Passport America campgrounds, you must have a valid Passport America card with the Passport America logo printed on it.
2. For each night's stay at a Passport America campground, you pay 50% of the regular nightly rate.
3. Access to Passport America campgrounds is on a space available basis.
4. Each resort/campground in the directory is individually owned and operated, and has different rules and regulations. Passport America members must abide by them when visiting. Members should check with each resort.
5. You may use your Passport America travel card as often as you like for the duration of your membership!
6. Please leave your campsites as clean as you find them. Passport America members pride themselves on this point. We also ask that all members be courteous when visiting Passport America participating campgrounds.
7. Passport America discount is not valid with any other discount.
8. We ask that all members who wish to renew their memberships to please do so through the Passport America home office by mail, phone, fax, or by website. Members may not renew at RV shows, campgrounds or through other individuals. Passport America has a toll free number for your convenience and members can renew 24 hours on-line through our website.
9. Due to change in campground ownership, management, etc. information contained in the Passport America Directory is subject to change.
10. Passport America office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Central time.

GPS Coordinates: We ask for you to please notify us about any location that is incorrect. We will gladly make sure it is updated immediately on our website and for our next printed directory. Even though we feel that we have done our best to acquire these coordinates along with all of the information in our directory, we strongly recommend that you still pay close attention to the directory map and written directions provided. We also ask for you to please call us toll free (800) 283-7183 if you ever need any assistance with the information provided in the Passport America Directory. Please know that we are always very happy to help you!

Note: There are campgrounds listed in the Passport America directory that have felt it necessary to assess additional charges for some services due to circumstances beyond their control. We have attempted to point out those charges with an asterisk (*) so that you are fully aware of those charges in your decision when choosing a campground. We will continue to work with those campgrounds in an effort to assure that you get the best value for your dollar. If you encounter a campground that has assessed you extra for services that we have not indicated in the directory, we would like to hear from you.

What are the prices to join Passport America?
Passport America is not only the Original 50% Discount Camping Club and the largest network of Quality Campgrounds of its kind, but also the lowest price.

What do I receive for my fee?
When you join Passport America you receive by mail a Passport America Travel Card and all the information regarding the Member Referral Program with enough brochures to get you started. If you provide us with your email address when you join, you will be sent proof of membership by email no later than the next business day. For an additional shipping fee, we will mail you a copy of our printed campground directory. Additional copies of our printed directory may be purchased online by going here. All campground directory information can be accessed online for no additional fee. Members can access campground information on our website and mobile apps (no login is necessary). Members may also download a PDF of the printed directory here.
What does Passport America Travel Card do for me?
Your Passport America Travel Card entitles you to 50% off of the regular nightly rate on campsites in hundreds of participating campgrounds across the United States, Canada, and Mexico on a space availability basis. Members must refer to the Important Campground Notes section in each participating campground's Passport America listing for details about discount rules.
How does Passport America work?
Choose a participating campground. Then be sure you read their Important Campground Notes. Follow instructions and rules to reserve, drive-up, etc.
What are the procedures for staying in a Passport America campground?
When you contact a campground to either reserve a site or check availability, please mention you are a Passport America Member. Always present your ID Card upon arrival. For specific instructions, please refer to each park's Important Campground Notes section within their Passport America listing for rules.
Am I guaranteed a campsite?
Access to Passport America campgrounds is on a space available basis. Some participating parks with limited availability during holidays, peak seasons and special events may exclude these times. This information is located in the Important Campground Notes section of each park's listing within our website, mobile apps, and printed camping directory (also available as PDF).
Are reservations required?
Most campgrounds do not require reservations; however, some do and some recommend them. This information is included in the Important Campground Notes section of the campground's Passport America Directory listing. Always be sure to say you are a Passport America Member when making a reservation and have your proof of membership available upon arrival. Get more tips on using the membership here.
How long can I stay at a participating campground at a discounted rate?
Some participating parks have no limits on the amount of stay; however, some will let you stay for a few nights and some overnight for the 50% discount. This information is located in the Important Campground Notes section of each parks listing within our website, mobile apps, and printed camping directory (also available as PDF).
How often can I use my Passport America Travel Card?
As often as you like, for the term of your membership.
How many RV sites and people does my membership discount include on a nightly basis?
Your membership is good for one RV on one RV site. Each park owner/manager will set the terms of how many people within one RV are included in their nightly camping fee. Some campgrounds include two people and some include more. Be sure to check with each campground individually regarding applicable additional charges. Many participating campground listings include their additional charges in the Important Campground Notes section of their Passport America directory listing following the "*".
How often does Passport America publish a new and updated International Camping Directory?
The printed Passport America International Camping Directory is updated and published once annually. Information included in our printed directory is subject to change at any time. Members can purchase a copy here and also download pages from the directory here.
How often are the Participating Campground listings updated on the website and mobile applications?
The Passport America website and mobile applications are updated in real-time, meaning you'll always see the most up-to-date campground listing information that we have in our campground database. However, information included on our website and mobile applications are still subject to change at any time.
Do I need to login to access campground details?
No. You can access all campground information anytime without having to login.
Are there any charges other than my annual fee or any commitments on my part?
No additional charges or commitments needed.
How will time be added to my membership when I join?
When you join for one year, your membership will be valid for a year from the time you join. E.g. If you sign up in May, your membership will be valid until the end of May of the following year. This will also apply when you join for two years, making your membership valid until the end of May in two years (24 months), etc.
When do I receive a Renewal Notice for my Passport America membership dues?
Renewal notices are mailed and emailed to members at least 3 months prior to the expiration date on their ID cards. You will not be automatically charged for your membership dues.
How do I get information on the referral program, so I can earn cash while saving money using Passport America?
Detailed information about the Passport America Member Referral Program, the program that pays, pays, and pays, is included here and with your permanent ID Card by mail.
Is there an additional fee for requested Passport America Brochures and Campground Contracts?
No additional fees are required for brochures or campground contracts.
Does Passport America sell or give out any of my information (mailing address, email address, & phone number)?
We never share our members' information with anyone. This includes all information: your name, mailing address, email address, or phone number.
Do I need to be a resident of the US, Canada or Mexico to be a member?
No, the Passport America membership is available for purchase by anyone who would like to save on campsite fees while traveling in North America.
