Only stayed overnight, but it made a great impression. Wonderful place to visit. Very relaxing.
For a small campground my expectations were met. I was greeted by Jimmy who was so hospitable and helpful. i enjoyed the 2 day stay. Wifi at great speed. Always enjoyable to have cable TV. Restrooms and Showers were superb. Will visit again.
This campground has been an unexpected surprise as it is small and most guests are longer term. When I called to make a reservation a few days before my need the manager was very helpful and friendly. She had one available spot for my weeks stay and it was all set... She called me later that day to say that the agreed upon spot was unfortunately not going to be available. I was disappointed but understood. She then told me that she had another vacancy for me as the previous travelers had left that morning. This new spot was on the edge of the campground, was a pull through, and offered me a lake side location and much privacy. The campground is quiet; the nearby restrooms and showers are spotlessly clean with ample hot water; very rustic little place with tall southern pines throughout; good cell phone coverage; shopping within 6 miles for supplies; the grounds are well kept and neat. This spot did not have a sewer hookup but did have good water and electric hookups and with the shower so near it has not been an inconvenience with no sewer hookup. Nice place and it will go in my list of favorites.
I have been a passport America member for 4 years. I have camped in many places and this is a 5 star campground. The people are nice, and I stay there 30 days from 02/03/17 to 03/03/17. Camp had all I needed for my 34 foot Class-A. and the price was right. And the town was near by and not to crowded.
We stayed at Bass Haven Campground one night on our way to a Habitat build in Thibodaux, LA. This is one of the cleanest places we have seen in a long time. It is small with mostly long term occupants but all campsites are very well kept. There are only 5 sites available for rentals and only two with 50A available at this time, and 2 pull thrus. Sites are gravel with some on concrete. Very quiet and on the lake. I wish we had more time and will definitely call ahead to see if a site is available for our rig with two slides when we are passing thru again. Harry _ Lexington, KY
We are from Oregon and have been traveling since July 29,2012. We have made it to the east coast. We are in a campground called,"Bass Heaven", in Defuniak Springs. This is a small campground with only 20 spaces. The people here are just the best, they bent over backwards to make your stay a good one. The restrooms are so clean and neat. We are so happy we made this a stop on travels. come see for yourself.
My family and myself stayed in the campgrounds rental room for two days. I t was clean and had a home feel to it. The new owners were very nice and help-ful. The campground was close to my relatives so were able to visit more without so much driving time. My husband was able to fish while we did some shopping.I will be staying again, very affordable.
We had a great stay at Bass Haven. There was a problem with the campground we had reservations with and Bass Haven said come on over. They parked us in the pouring rain and were most accommodating for our 2 night stay. The campground was clean and well kept. We would go back if in the area.
