Okay, this place is not going to win any beauty contests. If you're looking for luxury and pristine sites, this is not for you. There are a couple of buildings that really need to be torn down and a lot of work needs to happen with the basic area. YET I really enjoyed my stay. The price is good. The area is far enough from the freeway to be quiet (there is an occasional train, but no whistle). Utilities work fine. Wifi is surprisingly sufficient. Best of all was Brad, who not only welcomed me warmly but also helped in getting me situated and hooked up. If he makes a few more improvements, this could be a top site.
We enjoyed our stay in May 2020. Plenty of spacing during COVID-19. Brad was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us to our site (#13). We had a nice chat too. $20 a night for full hook-up with PA. Clean, quiet and convenient from I-20. A great deal. Check this place out, improvements and expansion is being done. Thanks Brad for being part of PA.
We stayed one night in Jan. 2020. The campground is just off the Interstate but it was quiet during the night. It is a small park but the sites are level and large. We would stay here again. FYI - if you are going West on I20, the direct route from the campground goes under an overpass that is 13'-6". If you need more height, go east to the next entrance and there it is 13'-9".
This is a great spot. Brad is working on improvements, adding several more pull-thrus for big rigs. We have a 40ft with a tow vehicle and 4 slides. Lots of mature trees, and green spaces. Even have a porch swing to watch the sunset. They had some damage with storms this spring, they are playing catch up. Great WiFi service, Verizon 2bars. Quiet place, off Interstate 20, worth a overnight stay. Can’t beat $20.00 for full hookups.
What a wonderful stop! I wasn't sure what to expect in Loraine, but they sure rolled out the red carpet for us. Brad and the crew made sure we found our spot, and were most helpful in getting us settled in. This campground is very convenient for travelers on I-20. It's only a couple minutes off the road, with easy access. I would highly recommend them. We have a 39' motorhome, and pull a Jeep. We fit into a pull-through with no issues whatsoever. Water pressure is great, and the place was quiet. Looks like quite a few full-time residents, but we will stay here again on our way through. It's the perfect overnight spot if you're driving down I-20. Thanks! -The Swanns, Austin TX
I just checked in to this site and it is a wonderful location. Very natural and quiet even though it's less than a mile from Interstate 20. I am a new RVer and got confused about how to hook up and the owner was extremely helpful. Even though the issue was with my RV he helped me figure it out. It's a beautiful piece for property that welcomes a walk to the 150 year old beautiful trees. Even though there are only 20 camping sites it is a perfect week-end or week get away location.
Enjoyed our stay. Management could not have been nicer. Lovely grounds and quiet. We will be back.
