We celebrate the 4th of July here in the park as well as in Custer.
Located on the famous French Creek, walking distance to any place in the town of Custer, close to area state and national parks.
Stay here! We loved it here. Rock and Dianna were the best hosts. Friday night potluck BBQ was a true South Dakota experience.
This was our first RV trip and we found the perfect place in French Creek. Rock was great. He backed our new camper into the site for us, helped us with some minor mechanical problems and fixed a great Friday night BBQ. There is a very nice park right across the (very quiet) street with deer at night. Everything you could need is within walking distance, food, groceries and a great little jewelry store on the French Creek side of E. Rushmore Hwy. We stayed a week longer than we had planned. Thanks Rock, Jackie
We had camper problems and luckily, Rock had a space for us. It was the week of Sturgis and we felt very lucky to find such nice people. They even cooked dinner and helped us get our vehicle towed, etc. The sites were well-maintained and you couldn't ask for nicer folks. And, the gravel is laced with beautiful pieces of rose quartz...rockhound's paradise. :-)
What a wonderful place to stay. The scenery is magnificent, the campground is spotless, warm and inviting and perfectly placed with lots of sites and things to do close by. The campground hosts are wonderful gracious people who make help make your stay perfect. Without a doubt a great place to stay, 5 star rating, will be back to visit soon.
