Stopped to spend 4 nights at this campground originally due to its proximity to New York City via train. We stayed in spite of the negative reviews and were prepared for the worse. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. Valid complaints were stated about the roads into and in the campground being bumpy and narrow. This was accurate and much work could be done to improve these conditions. None of the conditions are severe enough to damage the trailer or tow vehicle however and once you are in and set up it is a very nice place to camp. As I said to the clerk in the office we are set up, the site is level, the water, electric and sewer all work and we get great satellite reception. In addition the office personnel are super nice and very accommodating. What more could you expect and the Passport rate was honored in the busy season which is something many of the Passport Parks do not do. To top things off in addition to providing me with a great rate they gave me an additional $20.00 first time customer discount which was not anticipated. I would highly recommend this as a great place to camp if your plans take you to NY City or to Six Flags which is about 4 miles from the CG. Enjoy. The train station to NY Penn Station is about 21 miles from the CG.
