125 total RV sites (99 back ins and 25 pull thrus - may be tight for larger rigs), can accommodate RVs up to 40ft, 30/50 amp, water & electric sites, dump station, restrooms, showers, laundry, handicap access, propane, store, ice, fire rings, BBQ, picnic area, pavilions, athletic fields, horseshoes, volleyball, playground, nature watching, hiking, disc golf, day camps, summer concerts, biking, Baldcypress Nature Center, boating, boat ramp. Rowboats, pedal boats, canoes and kayaks can be rented for use within the park during the summer season, and park interpreters host narrated pontoon boat tours on summer weekends and holidays.

Open year round! Reservations required. Must call (877) 987-2757 & mention promo code PASSPORTAMDE5024 for dates in 2024 at time of reservation to receive discount or reserve online & use promo code. PA discount is valid the week after Labor Day thru the week before Memorial Day. Two nights minimum stay required. PA discount is valid Sunday thru Thursday nights only. PA discount is not valid during holidays. PA discount does not apply to cabins and yurts. Reservations at the PA rate for the next year begin in September. Credit cards accepted. Pets welcome. *Rates vary based on the time of year. $4 transaction fee per reservation.

Directions

Route 13 through Laurel, DE- take 24 East for 5 miles. Turn right onto Trap Pond Rd. Continue 1 mile and turn left on to Goosenest Rd. The campground entrance is on the right.

Description

The site of a large freshwater wetland, Trap Pond State Park hosts the northernmost natural stand of baldcypress trees in the United States. The forest of Trap Pond includes trails for bicycling and hiking, as well as views of the baldcypress trees growing out of the water.
