On I-10 headed east when we were a few days early on schedule. Our overnight stay turned into FOUR nights. Fishing ponds were used for nice evening and morning walks. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Due to the length of our stay, we made a trip to Walmart just a few miles away. We had very good Verizon signal.
Great place to spend a few days! Quiet and private. Fantastic museum.... need several days to see it all! Hope to be back!
Great long and level concrete pad to park the RV and car. Good water pressure. Easy entrance off Hwy 54. Very nice owner!!
Love this campground. Has its own theatre. Near downtown. Friendly, funny manager. Here is where you'll get to know the real Mountain View.
Nice place, level sites and helpful staff. Easy check in and not too much highway noise.
We stayed at Walnut Creek for three days starting April 10th 2024, they are working hard to make improvements and upgrade facilities in the park. The site we stayed in was huge - big enough for our 43 foot toy hauler, truck, SUV and boat with lots of room to spare and full hook ups!! Great water pressure, steady power and our Wi-Fi worked great. Really close to the town of Troy which seemed to have most every business you might need. Would definitely recommend this park especially for a 1-3 day stay.
I know I had written about this fantastic site once. But I in my short time of camping never seem TWO sewage holes at one site..I have two bathrooms and this makes it easier..The staff is really nice. I would definitely stop by again...
This was our second time at Rough Rider Rv Resort and as the first time, it was a great stay. It’s on our way home so it’s great to know that we can stop there, fit in the sites and have full hook ups. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and great to talk to. I am sure we will stop there again in the future and would recommend this Rv resort to anyone needing a spot to stop during their travels.
Camp on the Pioneer Village museum property and walk to see the attractions. Basic camping facility with hookups but can't beat the location.
We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff we encountered were very FRIENDLY. I would visit this RV Park again.
Heading home to Canada from Florida and had to find a spot to hide from the weather….found this little gem of a park!! Owner was on site, so helpful and friendly and so was the camp host couple….small park being upgraded with big spots and full hook ups!! Located in a small town so at night was so, so quiet and dark - great to sleep!! Had to extend our stay a couple times and they were more than accommodating with a spot. We will definitely go back and would recommend it for anyone wanting some peace & quiet.
Pro: beautiful place nestled in Ponderosa pines on top of mountain. Laundry, full hookup. Quiet with friendly mule deer begging. Sites r spacious Con: I0 miles of rough very dusty mountain road.
Great choice for a no frills, safe, clean one night stay!
5 Stars .. Highly recommend this Rv park. Excellent customer service. Rick camp host was so friendly. Genuinely kind person. He offered help you normally don’t expect from Camp Host. Wish we had more time and stayed extra days. Love the Rv park. Everything and everywhere was cleaned, laundry room to bath house and the campground. Thank You Rick! Hope to see you again
Small park, be sure and call for reservations and for availability. People are exceedingly nice. My tow battery was dead one I unhooked they went around and found jumper cables and got my car started. Very friendly and went out of their way. Mostly 30 amp hookups but still a nice little park. We will stay here again.
This little Park is a gem. It's well laid out close to the interstate still did not get any noise from it. There were two trains went by during the day never heard any at night. The pool looks very clean and nice. Definitely put this one of our favorite places. The office people are very pleasant.
This is a no-frills park. It's $17 per night so I can't complain. Reasonably quiet. No one to greet you. You have to call in and hope to reach someone. I was able to get the WiFi code and surprisingly it worked very well. It's fine for an overnight and mostly due to the money savings, I would come here again.
Lovely stay from 03/06/24 to 03/14/24 in spot H0044. This is a 55+ resort however, I did see lots of grandkids with this visit. Amenities include 2 pools/ 2 jacuzzis/nightly music & entertainment, a bar, food, plus a load of crafting shops. Got a 50% discount and my stay was only $375.00.
We've stayed here several times and absolutely Love it!!! They treat you like family. Very clean and all the staff is Very helpful and friendly... Can't wait to get back!!
I've been involved with Big Oaks RV Resort (formerly Park) for the past 20 years. The improvements to the Resort over the past 5 years has been simply amazing. We have added an Outdoor Activity Center, Pavilion, Complete renovation on the Swimming Pool and Pool area, Laundry Room, added numerous ground plants, ground covers, fencing to just to list a few of the recent accomplishments while maintaining many of our Resort Family who have returned year after year over the past 20 years. We welcome new Resort Family; our motto "Come as a Guest and leave as Family" is proven year after year. Please come by to visit our Resort anytime you are in the area.
