29 April - 6 May 2018 | We are a little hesitant to write comments on the Lazy Llama Campground primarily because we want to come back frequently and we are concerned that when the word gets out about this camp finding an empty site is going to be extremely difficult. Jerry and Carolyn are two of the most gracious individuals we have ever met. Friendly, knowledgeable, generous people only begins to describe the owners of Lazy Llama. If Jerry is not working on the campground he is volunteering to support the local children baseball games or the local theatre and working the Llama farm. I do not know how he finds the time to do all of the things he accomplishes in a day. No matter how busy he was he always stopped to chat when we met him during the day. Carolyn works at the high school all week, works in and around the campground after work, teaches classes on Saturday, volunteers in the local community and works the Llama farm. The farm currently has 42 Llamas including 3 about 6 months old. Jerry provided a tour of the farm and introduced us to all of the animals to include 2 donkeys, a miniature horse, 2 Emus and the family cats. A wonderful day. The camp has 31 level sites with 6 pull through sites, one of those easily accommodated our 45ft rig and our Jeep Wrangler. We could have put two 45ft rigs on the site. The lots were level gravel and provided sewer, 50amp and water. We also had real WI-FI with a strong signal that worked from day one through our entire week stay. The camp is easy to access and the surrounding area is beautiful with lots of things to do and see. One of our many experiences included a Story Telling presentation in the oldest town in Tennessee, Jonesborough. A wonderful town and an experience we had not encountered before. The list goes on and on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the entire time from arrival to departure. A wonderful place with wonderful people. We will return at our first opportunity. -John and Barbara McCombs

We had a wonderful stay at the Lazy Llama. The sites are big, gravel and level. We have a 40 foot toy hauler and there was plenty of room. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The location is quiet, country setting. You can see the llamas grazing in the pasture next door. The site has been completely revamped in the last year, so if you look it up on Google maps, you will probably see an old trailer park. Don't panic, it looks nothing like that now. Everything is clean and new. We planned to stay 3 nights, and extended it to a week. I would definitely recommend the Lazy Llama Campground.
