The scenic grandeur of this area, which has been compared to the Grand Canyon, can be enjoyed from the comfort of your RV, rather than the back of a mule! It's a journey approximately 100 miles through Unaweep Canyon with not one stop sign or traffic light from Whitewater to Naturita. There are thousands of acres of public lands available for your enjoyment. Some of the greatest hiking, ATV and riding trails, and rock climbing experiences are just minutes away. You can also enjoy fishing, deer and elk hunting (unit 61), Indian artifact hunting, 4-wheeling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, kayaking, rafting, bird watching and just being in the great outdoors. We are across the street from a grocery store and gas station, next door to the visitor center. We are walking distance from restaurants, the post office, liquor store, medical clinic, library and town park, which has a playground, volleyball court, baseball field, public fishing access, picnic areas and a museum.
