Located close to it all , yet far away enough for quietness. 14 total RV sites (4 sites are pull-thru and adding more soon!), plenty of tent sites, can accommodate any size RV, beautiful & quiet little campground, water & electric hookups, restrooms & showers (with plenty of hot water and sweet smelling Forest Service approved toilets), two streams (one is Sand Creek, a Blue Ribbon Trout stream and the old swimming hole”, and the other is Red Water Creek), modem for toll free numbers available 9AM-5PM, and because of location (near streams) no dump station is available in the park. Two dump stations are located nearby (one mile from station in South Dakota and 18 miles from station in Wyoming). Bunkhouse available for rent (see website for more details). Located within 2 blocks of 2 Steakhouses, Bar, Groceries and Gas Station. Located 3.3 miles from Vore Buffalo Jump, 10 miles from Spearfish, SD, Deadwood Gaming, 18 miles from Sundance, Wyoming and Sundance Kid, 22 miles from Deadwood, SD and Wild Bill Hickock, 43 miles from Devils Tower, WY, 60 miles from Mt. Rushmore, SD and 70 miles from Crazy Horse Mountain, SD. |

From I-90, take Exit 205 and go to the stop sign. Go west 3/10 of a mile down the hill, and stop at the Sand Creek Trading Post to register (it is one of 2 businesses in downtown Beulah, WY-population 33). You will not be a stranger very long! The Trading Post has groceries, souvenirs, gas on and off sale liquor and a Great Steak House. The Buffalo Jump Saloon has great food as well. The campground is 2 blocks west on the north side of the road and is well marked. If you would prefer to go straight to the campground, just continue west, and the Campground is just across the Sand Creek Bridge. Then turn in north and just stay to the left. The camping sites will be marked. You may then walk down to the Trading Post. If it is after dark, then just pick and empty site and you can check in the next morning. Owners live in the campground, and will know if you have arrived and have a reservation. |
