Salmon, spring walleye, summer skamania, crappie, trout and year round steelhead fishing at world renowned Tippy Dam on Big Manistee River (open water all year) and Bear Creek. Anglers try fishing nearby designated trout steams on Pine Creek or Little Manistee River. Boating sportsmen, the backwaters above Tippy Dam have record walleye, bass, pike, perch, blue gill and other pan fish or ride your jet ski. Thrill seekers try some adventurous canoeing, kayaking or float down the skilled Pine River, Big and Little Manistee River or enjoy a day at the beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. As the day draws to a end watch the sunset over the Manistee Pier Lighthouse from the beach.
