Peaceful campground just off the highway but far enough away to eliminate any highway noise. Price is reasonable. My site didn't come with sewer, but there is a dump station. Otherwise the utilities worked well, including the wifi. Cell service is a bit weak. There are a number of activities available. I took advantage of the shooting range--something rare to see at an RV park. I had a reservation and when I arrived there was no one at the office and no packet waiting for me. I had to call in and go through some awkward instructions of how to get to my site and get settled. I would like to suggest they have at least maps available outside the office and even better, a welcome pack with a map and all of the necessary information. It would make things run much smoother. Otherwise I had a great time here and would definitely come again.
On Oct. 17, 2020 my wife and I stayed at Big Buck Resort and Campground in Hornsby TN., our first night on a trip east to the Smoky Mountains. Of course it was near dark because of leaving home late, but because the owner was so very friendly about using my Passport America discount and finding me a spot to camp I felt very welcome there. Even more inviting was the delicious aromas coming from the restaurant that is open on Fridays and Saturdays! We stayed one night on our way back home and the staff person who checked us in was just as friendly as the owner. If Passport America wants a star rating from me, Big Buck Resort And Campground gets Five Stars! Thank you, Gary Anderson
Tina and her crew are the nicest people you will ever meet. We love this quite, peaceful campground so much that we decided to stay a month. Regular t.v. gets 2 channels and wifi most of the time, but so much better than other campgrounds that we have stayed at. We have been full-time campers since 2016.
